Booked hire car back in July for a trip to in Australia next year. Received an e-mail from the car hire company stating Atlas Choice haven't paid their invoices for the last two months so they had cancelled my reservation. Refund promised from Atlas Choice but nothing yet and to be honest I'm not very hopeful...Update.. E-mail received today stating car hire cancelled and no refund available. It's a good job I paid using a credit card and the bank have refunded me.....
NEVER use this company. Total scam artists. I got to Toronto over the holiday period to pick up my car. They hadn't paid Budget Canada so as a result there was NO CAR FOR ME. Unreal. I had to rent another car for 3x the price. At Christmas in 2015 a similar incident occurred in Mexico. They added a 150 surplus onto the car for theft/damage - I couldn't collect the car without paying it. Spend the money and work with the big boys. National Car Rental, Hertz, Budget, etc. Atlast Choice don't even answer their phones. Seriously - never EVER use this car company. I hope they fully go out of business.
Avoid this company at all costs. I booked my rental car months in advance and paid in full the asking price. When I got to the airport rental location of their so called partner, I was told that while my reservation was there, I owed a full balance. What's even more, the balance was more than what was quoted and more than other rental companies in the same location. The partner would not honor the quoted price nor would they take it upon themselves to contact them. I had to deal with it. The solution offered was to book at the new price and they'll refund me what I paid. Here's the catch: They will refund me what I paid them, which was the lower price. I simply asked to be refunded my money and that I will book with another company of my choosing for cheaper. After an internal investigation, they approved my request and instead of simply refunding me the money, they asked me to contact my credit card company and dispute the charges which is ridiculous. Thank god I have a good credit card company and the process was easy with them. The same exact thing happened to a friend of mine after I recommended them before this happened. I suspect it happens a lot with them. Save yourself the money and the headache and look elsewhere.
Just came back from visiting family in N. Ireland. When I arrived at the Budget car hire desk which I had rented through Atlas Choice I was informed that Budget had not been paid by Atlas and therefore I had to pay for the rental again. Not a happy customer.
Our Atlas Choice car rental in Athens, Greece was probably our best car rental experience overseas or in the US. Our rental company brought the car to us at the airport and was also at the airport to receive the car when we returned. We have had several rentals from Atlas Choice and will definitely rent from them again. We love the prices.
