High end Chinese restaurant. Great food, service and decor
Great food but, the service is very slow on some occasions. I recently ordered my usual dish of chilli beef, which normally is ready in 30-35 minutes. I was waiting over an hour for food. The waiters also had no idea about anything that was going on in the kitchen, as if they were two different countries. Food here is always close to being the best, shame the service falls well below standard on busy times.
Maxims never fails to deliver quality food and ambience. The staff are always professional and attentive. The "go to" restaurant for any special occasion.
Not your typical 'local' Chinese restaurant. Way better in fact. Menu is unique with some authentic dishes as well as the favourites. Decor, service and quality of food is better than restaurants in this category. This is no local takeaway. You can actually have a nice date or family/friends dinner in the evening.
This is not a Chinese Takeaway, even if you can get takeaway. It is a somewhat up market Chinese restaurant. The decor is certainly a cut above the bog standard Chinese. The unfortunate offhand manner of the order-taking waiter was a shame. Otherwise service was polite and efficient and the food was good.
