Ive been using this GP for 4 years and have had nothing but brilliant service and care. Take the bad reviews with a pinch of salt, I think that the small pool of people are more likely to leave reviews than masses of people whove had good experiences.
I have been with this surgery for years and haven't had one single experience of unpleasantness or incompetence. I have been seen by most of the doctors , all polite, sympathetic and helpful, and one in particular is pure gold. (I won't embarrass him by mentioning his name)This also applies to the receptionists .
The worst doctors surgery I have ever had the miss fortune to use. Staff are lacking basic understanding of what is required off them. Not able to book appointments correctly. Rude and very unfair helpful. Doctors and nurses don't like being asked questions about the what's and the whys. If you have a choice do not use this surgery.
* RUDE RECEPTIONISTShe told me to go straight to A+E for a twisted ankle? - All I wanted was a referral for physio. She was argumentative and lacked basic common courtesy putting the phone down after finally giving me an appointment time * LONG APPOINTMENT WAITING TIMESOn average, you have to wait 10 days to get a non-emergency appointment. And calling up for an appointment- expect a long wait there (even during non peak times!)* HIT + MISS DOCTORSI personally have generally been lucky and had emphathetic doctors who have seen me. However one doctor asked me what I wanted to be done - I said "you're the Dr, you tell me!" ... My partner however has been unlucky enough to see the same incredibly rude, argumentative doctor twice. 8t really is pot luck.
I have used this practice since 1975 and over the years have seen various doctors and nursing staff. I have always found all staff helpful, courteous and above all professional. I only see my doctor when absolutely vital and seek advice from pharmacists before wasting valuable time from the surgery.
